About the Role
AI Agent Engineer | Atlanta, GA | Hybrid | $100K - $200K (+ substantial equity) A fast-growing AI solutions consultancy is hiring an AI Agent Engineer to join their delivery team in Atlanta. This is a hands-on technical build role, not a people management position. You'll lead through depth, delivery, and credibility rather than headcount. The company designs and deploys custom AI agent solutions for enterprise clients across healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, and software. Engagements move quickly, with genuine ownership over how each solution is scoped, built, and shipped into live client environments. This is client-facing work, not internal R&D. What the role involves: Hands-on agent engineering that takes client workflows from idea to production. You'll build custom agents using Python and modern orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar), and just as often configure and ship workflows on no-code/low-code platforms like Make or n8n when that's the faster, more pragmatic path. Knowing when to choose one approach over the other is core to the role. You'll work directly with client executives and frontline teams to understand real business pain points, design appropriate solutions, and connect agents to live systems including CRMs and third-party APIs via tool use and function calling. You'll also help package what you build into reusable templates and frameworks that speed up future client work. What they're looking for: Strong Python proficiency, with production-grade, maintainable code (not just demo-quality builds) Hands-on experience with at least one agent orchestration framework (LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent) Comfort building on no-code/low-code platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier or similar) Practical experience integrating agents with real business systems via APIs and function calling Working knowledge of RAG architecture, vector databases, and prompt engineering for production use cases Fluency with at least one major cloud AI platform (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex AI) Working knowledge of agent communication standards (e.g. MCP, A2A) and where the space is heading Strong communicator, able to explain how an agent works to a non-technical audience Comfortable managing multiple concurrent client engagements Nice to have: experience at a consulting firm or systems integrator, TypeScript/Node.js for web-integrated deployments, and a public track record (GitHub, writing, talks) in AI agent development. No immigration sponsorship available. Show more Show less
