Role Overview The AI Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering innovative AI-powered solutions that enable business transformation and operational excellence. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on solution leadership to drive the adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, and AI-enabled business applications. The AI Architect partners with business stakeholders, product teams, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions. The role is responsible for guiding AI initiatives from ideation and proof-of-concept through production deployment, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards. This individual serves as the technical leader for AI engagements, providing architecture direction, mentoring engineering teams, and establishing best practices for AI solution delivery. Key Responsibilities AI Solution Architecture & Design Design and architect enterprise-grade AI solutions that address complex business challenges. Lead the development of Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG-based, and intelligent automation platforms. Create scalable architecture patterns, reusable frameworks, and implementation standards for AI solutions. Define integration approaches between AI services, enterprise applications, APIs, and data platforms. Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. AI Delivery Leadership Lead AI projects from discovery and architecture through implementation and production deployment. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and transformation opportunities. Drive rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate business value and technical feasibility. Support engineering teams in resolving complex technical challenges throughout project delivery. Establish deployment, monitoring, and operationalisation strategies for AI solutions. Agentic AI & Generative AI Development Design and implement multi-agent architectures using modern AI orchestration frameworks. Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions leveraging enterprise knowledge sources. Develop AI-enabled workflows that automate business processes and improve operational efficiency. Define prompt engineering, evaluation, testing, and model optimisation strategies. Implement guardrails and governance controls for AI applications and autonomous agents. Technical Leadership & Collaboration Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to AI engineers and development teams. Conduct architecture reviews, design assessments, and code quality reviews. Mentor developers on AI engineering best practices, architecture principles, and modern software engineering techniques. Collaborate with data, cloud, security, and platform engineering teams. Champion AI-assisted development practices to accelerate solution delivery and engineering productivity. Governance, Security & Compliance Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI requirements. Partner with security and compliance teams to establish approval and deployment processes. Implement AI observability, monitoring, auditability, and lifecycle management capabilities. Define standards for model governance, risk management, and enterprise AI controls.
