AI Design Automation Architect

Job Role : AI Design Automation Architect / Engineer | (Freelance / Consultant) About the Role We are building a next-generation AI-powered Engineering Design Automation platform for large-scale industrial infrastructure. This stealth initiative combines Artificial Intelligence, Autodesk Platform Services, CAD/BIM automation, cloud-native engineering, and intelligent data platforms to transform how engineering teams design, validate, and automate complex assets. This role is ideal for engineers and architects who enjoy solving challenging engineering problems, building scalable automation platforms, and applying AI to real-world design workflows. We're open to engaging exceptional talent globally on a freelance, consulting, or contract basis. Key Responsibilities Design and develop AI-driven engineering design automation solutions using Autodesk Platform Services (APS) and Autodesk Design Automation APIs. Build automation workflows using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Inventor, and related Autodesk APIs. Develop cloud-native engineering applications and scalable microservices using Azure, AWS, or GCP. Build AI-powered engineering assistants using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Computer Vision, and AI Agents. Develop intelligent engineering data platforms capable of processing BIM/CAD models, engineering drawings, metadata, and digital assets. Build APIs and backend services using C#, .NET, Python, Node.js, GraphQL, and REST. Design data pipelines for IFC, DWG, RVT, NWD, PDF, and other engineering file formats. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define scalable platform architecture, reusable components, and engineering automation frameworks. Drive technical architecture, performance optimization, security, and cloud deployment best practices. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and integrate them into engineering design workflows. Mandatory Requirements 8+ years of experience in Engineering Software Development, CAD/BIM Automation, or Engineering Platform Development. Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) / Autodesk Forge. Experience developing applications using one or more of the following: Revit API / AutoCAD API / Civil 3D API / Navisworks API/ Inventor API Strong programming experience in C#/.NET and/or Python . Experience building REST APIs, GraphQL services, or cloud-native applications. Experience working with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong understanding of engineering data models, BIM, CAD, Digital Twin, or Design Automation. Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases. Excellent problem-solving and system design skills with the ability to build scalable engineering platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience working in globally distributed teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360. Experience with AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, Computer Vision, Knowledge Graphs, or AI Agents. Experience building Engineering Copilots or Generative AI apCAplications. Familiarity with Digital Twins, PLM, GIS, or industrial engineering platforms. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
