AI Engineer

The Role Design, build, and deploy secure, scalable AI solutions including APIs, services, pipelines, agents, containers, and serverless functions. Develop and operationalize LLM-enabled products such as copilots, knowledge assistants, and agentic workflows using platforms like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and AWS AgentCore Gateway. Implement end-to-end RAG, knowledge base, and document intelligence patterns including ingestion, embeddings, search, and retrieval evaluation. Deliver governed data and features for ML and GenAI, supporting both training workflows and real-time inference with consistency and low latency. Drive CI/CD, testing, versioning, and deployment standards across AI systems and establish monitoring/observability for the full model lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI-powered solutions and mentor junior engineers. What You'll Need 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1 year building and operating AI/ML systems in production. Proven hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, function/tool calling, and agent orchestration. Strong Python engineering skills for writing clean, maintainable, production-grade code and packaging AI capabilities as APIs or services. Experience with AI/ML infrastructure: Databricks, vector/hybrid search, feature pipelines, model serving, Docker, and cloud-native deployment on AWS. Familiarity with implementing trust, safety, and governance controls in AI systems, including PII handling and access controls. Comfort working in a delivery-oriented team, with a focus on shipping, measuring, and iterating on solutions.
