Applied AI Engineer

Role: Applied AI Engineer Location Seattle, WA (Hybrid) Type Full-Time Required Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field 5+ years of experience training large-scale deep learning models and large language models Experience building and deploying AI systems used by real customers at scale Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, model behavior, and production deployment challenges Ability to move beyond generic LLM wrappers and build differentiated AI experiences Experience translating research concepts into safe, reliable production systems Experience developing evaluation frameworks for agentic workflows and AI systems Strong software engineering fundamentals and production mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience working with frontier commercial and open-weight AI models Experience with AWS, Vercel, or similar cloud-native and serverless platforms Familiarity with durable workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tools such as Braintrust or LangSmith Experience building persistent memory architectures and long-term context systems Familiarity with relational and vector database technologies Experience with AI runtimes supporting streaming, tool execution, and agent orchestration Experience developing AI-powered consumer products Show more Show less
