Partnering with bizops and engineering, you will deploy agentic workflows, design context engineering strategies, and set technical guardrails for an AI-native fintech stack. This is a hands-on builder role focused on real-world business impact. Location New York, USA Why this role is remarkable Lead the AI strategy for a company that has spent five years perfecting accounts receivable and is now expanding into a complete financial OS for SMBs. Influence the entire organization by building reusable AI skills, sub-agents, and MCP integrations that compound across finance, support, and engineering functions. Work directly with the founding team in a high-ownership environment where your architectural decisions define how an AI-native fintech platform is built from the ground up. What You Will Do Stand up end-to-end agentic workflows using Claude Code and internal stacks to eliminate manual work and accelerate business cycle times. Own the internal AI infrastructure including model selection, context engineering, prompt design, and the development of robust evaluation harnesses. Act as the organization’s authority on AI security, implementing prompt injection defenses, access controls, and vulnerability assessments for agentic systems. The ideal candidate 6+ years of experience in software development, bizops, or data roles with proven success shipping production-grade AI systems, not just experimentation. Expert-level knowledge of prompt engineering and MCP (Model Context Protocol), with the ability to navigate trade-offs between RAG, fine-tuning, and tool use.
