Position Overview TMG is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that create measurable business impact. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for transforming business requirements into reliable AI-powered systems, applications, workflows, and integrations. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with practical AI implementation experience and enjoys working directly with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that drive adoption and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Own AI initiatives from business problem definition through deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization. Design and build production-ready AI applications, agents, workflows, APIs, and data pipelines. Make architectural decisions and evaluate tools, frameworks, and technologies to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability. Integrate AI solutions with CRMs, ERPs, databases, data warehouses, messaging platforms, and other business systems. Develop evaluation frameworks and monitoring processes to measure quality, performance, latency, costs, and reliability. Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand workflows, identify opportunities, and gather feedback. Create reusable components, prompt libraries, playbooks, and implementation patterns that can be leveraged across multiple initiatives. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure long-term maintainability of deployed solutions. Drive continuous improvement through testing, iteration, and performance optimization. Establish reliable monitoring, evaluation, and feedback mechanisms for all deployed workflows. Reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and increase process accuracy. Achieve strong user adoption and stakeholder engagement. Become a trusted technical advisor and solution partner for business leaders and operational teams. Required Qualifications Several years of experience designing, developing, and deploying production software solutions. Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or similar technologies. Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and/or TypeScript. Experience working with APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, authentication methods, and system integrations. Strong understanding of software architecture, system reliability, and application scalability. Experience designing evaluations, monitoring AI performance, and validating outputs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong business acumen and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and complex business challenges. Ability and willingness to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience building multi-step AI workflows or agents using LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, model SDKs, or custom orchestration frameworks. Experience integrating AI capabilities into CRM, ERP, data warehouse, or other business-critical platforms. Subject matter expertise in industries such as finance, healthcare, SaaS, supply chain, sales operations, or data engineering. Contributions to open-source projects, technical publications, repositories, or industry communities. Experience working within startup, private equity, portfolio company, or high-growth business environments. Familiarity with modern AI deployment, observability, governance, and automation practices.
