Business Automation & AI Engineer

Evolving Solutions is looking for a Business Automation & AI Engineer to bridge the gap between Evolving Solutions' business teams and its technology platforms. This role identifies where manual effort, inefficiency, or process gaps exist, then builds the automations, AI agents, and platform solutions that eliminate them. Part business analyst, part automation builder, and part technology generalist, this person knows enough about what our tools can and cannot do to bridge the gap from a business idea to a working solution. The role is internal-facing, reports to the Director of Technology and Business Integration, and works closely with department leaders across the organization to identify opportunities, align on priorities, and deliver results. Accountabili ty:• Engage directly with internal business stakeholders to understand current workflows, identify p ainpoints, and gather requirements for technology-driven solutions. Translate business needs into cle ar,actionable solution desig ns.• Design, build, and maintain automations that solve real business problems using the Evolving Soluti onstechnology stack: Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, Oracle NetSuite ERP, andDynamics 365 Sales. Own solutions from concept to deployme nt.• Leverage automation platforms to build workflows that integrate across the M365, Oracle NetSu iteERP, and Dynamics 365 Sales ecosystems. Build flows that are maintainable, well-documented, andbuilt to scale rather than one-time fix es.• Build and deploy AI agents using the right tool for the problem: Copilot Studio, Azure AI/Open AI,Claude, or other emerging platforms. Design agents that automate knowledge work, surf aceinformation, or handle repetitive decision-making for internal tea ms.• Leverage the full depth of the M365 product suite to solve business challenges. This inclu desSharePoint, Teams, Purview, Defender, Power Platform, Copilot, Entra ID, and Intune. Know what thesuite can do and apply it intentional ly.• Challenge existing processes. When a manual workflow or inefficient hand-off is identified, do not j ustdocument it. Question whether it should exist at all. Bring a technology-first mindset to operatio nalproblems and propose solutions grounded in what the tools can actually deliv er.• Document all built solutions, automation flows, and system configurations. Maintain a current invent oryof business systems, integrations, and active automatio ns.• Support Power BI reporting and NetSuite data needs as capacity allows. Familiarity with Power BIreport development, DAX, and NetSuite SuiteScripts is valued; this work is secondary to automat ionand AI responsibiliti es. Experi enceRequi red:• 3+ years of experience in a role that combines business process analysis with hands-on techno logysolution delivery (e.g. automation, integration, platform administration, or application developme nt).• Proven expertise with Power Automate, including building complex, multi-step cloud flows that integ rateacross M365, third-party APIs, and business systems (e.g. Oracle NetSuite ERP, Dynamics 365 Sa les,SharePoint, Dataver se).• Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents using one or more platforms: Copilot Stu dio,Azure AI/OpenAI, Claude/Anthropic, or equivalent. Ability to evaluate which platform fits the prob lem.• Deep, practical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 product suite — not just email and Teams, but the fullbreadth: Power Platform, Purview, Defender, Entra ID, SharePoint, Intune, and Copi lot. Prefe rred:• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business/Management Inform ationSystems, or a related f ield.• Strong business analysis skills: ability to lead requirements-gathering conversations, map current- stateprocesses, identify automation opportunities, and write clear solution s pecs.• Intellectual curiosity and a healthy skepticism of how things have always been done. Comfortable withchallenging process assumptions and proposing alternatives backed by what the tools can act uallydel iver.• Strong documentation discipline. Automations, flows, configurations, and solution design s aredocumented as a matter of course, not as an aftertho ught.• Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audie nces.• Experience with NetSuite ERP and/or Dynamics 365 Sales data struct ures.• Familiarity with Power BI report development and DAX.• Experience working in an IT services, managed services, or technology distribution environ ment.
