Forward Deployed Engineer Location: New York, NY / Hybrid (Depending on Role) Compensation: $180,000 – $260,000+ Base Salary + Equity Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship (USC) or Green Card (GC) required. We're working with a number of high-growth AI startups that are hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to bridge the gap between engineering teams and enterprise customers. This is a highly hands-on position where you'll develop production-grade AI solutions, collaborate directly with customers, and lead deployments from initial discovery through successful launch. What You'll Do Partner closely with enterprise customers to understand their business needs and design effective technical solutions. Build, deploy, and maintain production-ready AI applications using modern LLMs and AI APIs. Develop full-stack applications with Python, TypeScript, React, SQL, and cloud-based technologies. Design and implement integrations with internal platforms and third-party systems. Own projects end-to-end, including discovery, solution architecture, implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer feedback into product enhancements. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver reliable, high-quality solutions within customer environments. What We're Looking For 3–8 years of experience in Software Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Applied AI, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Consulting. Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, REST APIs, SQL, and modern cloud platforms. Experience developing and deploying LLM-powered or agentic AI applications in production environments. Confidence working directly with customers and presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently in fast-changing, ambiguous environments. Prior experience in startups or high-growth technology companies is strongly preferred. Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, RAG, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks. Familiarity with React, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, or PostgreSQL. Industry experience in fintech, insurtech, retail, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS. Previous experience as a Founding Engineer or an early-stage startup team member. Why Apply?
