Forward Deployed Engineer NYC (in-office 5 days/week) $160K–$200K base | OTE $280K–$600K (uncapped) A fast-growing Series A AI startup in NYC is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed directly with Fortune 500 clients and ship the AI workflows that make them AI-native. This isn't demo work — it's production systems running Monday morning with no one from the team in the room. What you'll do: Own features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, deploy, client relationship Use every agentic coding tool available (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) Ramp fast into unfamiliar codebases, from legacy monoliths to brand-new stacks Build agent systems that are reliable, auditable, and human-in-the-loop where it matters Travel to client sites roughly once a month What you'll bring: 3-8 years shipping production software end-to-end AI-native workflow, using agentic tools to boost quality and speed Comfort juggling multiple client engagements without dropping quality High personal bar and collaborative rigor Bonus: open source work, a side project people use, or experience shipping a production agentic system (not just a POC) Comprehensive medical/dental/vision, 100% employer-paid life/AD&D/LTD, uncapped upside.
