About the Role
*hiring on behalf of our client Title: Forward Deployed Engineer Time: Full-Time Location: SoMa, San Francisco, CA (5 days in-office) Compensation: $180,000 - $300,000 / year + competitive equity The Company Our client is an AI platform designed to automate complex, manual administrative workflows in the insurance industry. Having recently raised a $25M Series A from top-tier venture capitalists, they build AI agents and automations that save enterprise insurance brokerages thousands of hours and millions of dollars. Role Overview This is a hands-on, post-sales customer-facing engineering role (~70% coding, ~30% customer-facing scoping) working at the intersection of AI, product, and implementation. You will work directly with enterprise customers to understand business workflows, scope technical solutions, and build and deploy AI agents within the same week. Everything built feeds back into the core platform to scale adoption across strategic accounts. Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end implementation of enterprise customer engagements from requirements gathering to deployed solution • Build and ship AI agents and automations on the core platform to deepen adoption within strategic accounts • Work directly post-sales with enterprise customers to scope technical problems and deliver working solutions rapidly • Integrate successful customer-specific work and features back into the core platform • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate customer insights into scalable platform features Qualifications • 3 to 6 years of post-college engineering experience in software, forward deployed, solutions, implementation, or product engineering • Hands-on post-sales customer-facing engineering experience scoping problems and shipping solutions in rapid cycles • Full-stack proficiency with hands-on experience in Python, TypeScript, or related web technologies • Proven background at a VC-backed startup (Series A or later) funded by top-tier venture capital firms • Bachelor's degree from a top university (e.g., Ivies, Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Duke, Harvey Mudd, UIUC, or equivalent) • Experience building or deploying AI/ML automations, LLM pipelines, or agentic workflows in production environments • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced setting Show more Show less
