Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Systems) – Applied AI An high-growth applied AI company is building production-grade AI systems for complex enterprise workflows. The company is scaling quickly and operates in a high-ownership, execution-focused environment where engineers deploy systems directly into real customer environments. They are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to build, deploy, and own AI systems end-to-end in production settings. Key Responsibilities Deploy production AI systems into enterprise environments Build and iterate on LLM-based workflows and agent systems Integrate systems via APIs, cloud infrastructure, and external data sources Work directly with customers to translate operational needs into technical solutions Own delivery lifecycle from scoping → implementation → deployment → iteration Build multimodal AI systems (text, image, video, document/OCR, structured data) Collaborate with core engineering teams to improve platform reliability and performance Continuously improve deployment processes and internal tooling Required Skills Strong proficiency in Python Experience with APIs, backend systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) Familiarity with LLMs, agent frameworks, or applied AI workflows Ability to ship production software quickly in high-ownership environments Comfortable working directly with customers and technical stakeholders Ideal Background Forward Deployed Engineer / Implementation Engineer Solutions Engineer (technical, coding-heavy) Founding Engineer / Startup Software Engineer Applied AI / Machine Learning Engineer (production-focused) Experience in high-performance engineering environments This is an OnSite role with a 9-9-5 working pattern.
