Principal AI Data Architect (Agentic Systems)

Job Summary We are hiring a Principal AI Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of sophisticated agentic AI systems for major enterprise clients. This senior role combines deep data architecture expertise with hands-on generative AI development in a client-facing consulting environment. You will own complex solutions end-to-end - from architecture and data pipeline design through to production deployment - while working directly with senior business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities Design and implement end-to-end agentic AI and generative AI solutions, taking full ownership from initial concept to production. Build scalable data architectures and pipelines optimized for performance, cost, and reliability on AWS. Develop LLM orchestration, RAG systems, multi-agent workflows, and supporting data infrastructure. Collaborate directly with enterprise clients and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions in ambiguous, fast-paced settings. Establish architecture best practices and mentor other data engineers across projects. Present technical strategies, trade-offs, and recommendations to Director+ level audiences. Leverage modern AI coding assistants daily to improve velocity and code quality. Drive MLOps practices including monitoring, versioning, and automated retraining. Desired Skills and Experience 10+ years in data engineering and architecture, including 5+ years focused on data/AI architecture at scale. Strong track record architecting and deploying production AI/ML systems on AWS. Client-facing experience in consulting or professional services environments. Deep expertise with AWS data and AI services (e.g., Bedrock, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, OpenSearch, Step Functions, EMR). Proficiency in Python and Node.js, plus experience with LLM orchestration, RAG, vector databases, and prompt engineering. Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and scalable data design patterns. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
