Sr. Software Engineer, Automation Engineering

The company manages a portfolio of leading entertainment and news brands and produces content through multiple film and television studios. About the Opportunity: The SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER, AUTOMATION ENGINEERING will develop AI-driven automation systems and production-grade software to support the organization's data collaboration ecosystem. This role focuses on building reliable, scalable tools and AI agents that automate complex engineering and operational workflows, enhancing audience activation, measurement, and reporting. Responsibilities: Design and implement AI agents and automation workflows using tools like Snowflake Cortex, LangChain, and similar frameworks. Develop reusable tools, APIs, and components for composing agentic workflows. Implement retrieval-augmented generation workflows and context management to improve system performance. Build evaluation frameworks, regression tests, and monitoring for AI-agent reliability. Define and track key metrics such as task completion, accuracy, latency, and failure rates. Design validation and guardrail mechanisms to reduce errors and unsafe outputs. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to transition AI workflows to production. Develop and maintain production-grade Python applications, libraries, and services following best software engineering practices. Create reusable engineering patterns to improve consistency and reduce bespoke development. Work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Build reusable Python libraries supporting audience workflows and measurement use cases. Abstract complex workflows into repeatable, self-service components for internal and external users. Enable configurable feature deployment for rapid delivery of new capabilities. Mentor engineers and promote engineering standards and a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong Python programming skills. Experience designing reliable, scalable automation systems. Familiarity with AI agent frameworks and automation workflows. Knowledge of software engineering best practices including modular design, testing, CI/CD, and documentation. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
